The space
Arriving
Terra is the ground-floor studio, with a direct street-level entrance. It is the quietest of the three floors and the easiest to reach with luggage. Check-in is by keypad, so you can arrive on your own schedule.
Sleeping
A queen bed sits between slim pendant lights, under a framed Le Bleu print, with a built-in wardrobe alongside.
Living area
The living area has a teal couch beneath a large abstract fish artwork, a wall-mounted smart TV, air conditioning and an orange pendant lamp, with French doors letting in the light.
Kitchen
A compact kitchen with a marble countertop and backsplash: cooktop, sink, fridge and an espresso maker for the first coffee of the day. Pale stone-look tile runs through the whole studio.
Bathroom
The bathroom is the studio's showpiece: glazed teal tile, a backlit mirror, a marble vanity with open shelving for towels, and an arched walk-in shower with a rain showerhead and glass door.
Where you are
Casa Gigante is in the historic center of Castellammare del Golfo, on the north-west coast of Sicily, above the fishing harbor. The castle, the Chiesa Madre, the market and the sea are all a short walk from the door.
Scopello, the Riserva dello Zingaro and the Greek temple at Segesta are a short drive away. Trapani airport (TPS) is about 40 minutes by car, Palermo (PMO) about an hour. Parking is free on the street, first come, first served; streets in the historic center are narrow.
